Legal Status
Moms Rising Together is a nonprofit organization officially incorporated in the State of Michigan as of 12/5/2025.
We are currently preparing our application for federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

Our Three-Phase Program Model

Phase 1: Free Community Matching (Current Phase)

Right now, Moms Rising Together offers free matching between moms who want help and community helpers who want to offer support. This phase is open to all moms, regardless of income or family structure. Moms and helpers arrange support directly with one another.

Phase 2: Donation-Funded Direct Support (Launching Soon)

As funding becomes available, we will expand into direct financial support for helpers to ensure that single moms with babies under 18 months can receive consistent, affordable help even when they cannot pay out of pocket.

During Phase 2, the nonprofit will pay helpers directly on behalf of eligible single moms so that financial barriers do not prevent access to support.

Phase 3: Long-Term Vision — Workforce Development (Future Goal)

Looking ahead, our long-term vision is to expand beyond support services into workforce development for single mothers.

In a future phase of growth, we aim to create paid, supported employment opportunities for single moms with young children, paired with childcare support and job training. This phase is a long-range goal and is fully dependent on significant funding, infrastructure, and regulatory readiness.

All program phases are designed to operate alongside one another as the organization grows — Phase 3 will expand, not replace, the direct support provided in Phases 1 and 2.

Use of Funds

All donated funds are reserved solely for the mission and programs of Moms Rising Together.

Donations will be used to:

  • Pay helpers directly for in-home support provided to eligible single moms with babies under 18 months

  • Operate and maintain the free matching program for all moms

  • Recruit helpers and connect them with participating moms

  • Coordinate scheduling and communication

  • Cover essential nonprofit operating costs such as software, insurance, banking, and basic administration

Governance

Moms Rising Together is led by its founding leadership with plans to expand its board as the organization grows. Leadership is committed to ethical decision-making, responsible use of funds, and accountability to the moms we serve.
